1947 and WERTLI are synonymous with the success story of Horizontal Continuous Casting ! Alfred J. Wertli founded his enterprise ALFRED WERTLI AG first in Baden, Switzerland.
Alfred J. Wertli transferred his company to Winterthur, Switzerland 25 km north-east of Zurich, Switzerland and only 15 km away from Zurich International Airport.
Today; history of office building as well as ALFRED WERTLI AG premises
New works in Andelfingen, Switzerland was opened, 15 km north of Winterthur.
The second generation took the lead when Thomas P. Wertli became President of the Company.
At the end of 1993 WERTLI acquired the METATHERM Technology together with the Trade mark METATHERM™ and the patents and design drawings from the liquidation. Since then, WERTLI is looking after numerous former METATHERM customers world-wide in terms of spares, modifications and new equipment. In 2006, In 2011, ALFRED WERTLI moved into new, modern production halls, also in Neuhausen am Rheinfall / Switzerland. The new modern and generous plant has been the origin of WERTLI continuous casting systems since then.
ALFRED WERTLI AG moved it’s manufacturing and production to new premises in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland, however this was an interim solution only.
To meet new requirements, new modern and spacious works were occupied in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland where ample space for manufacturing and assembling for horizontal continuous casting line is available. It is from these works where the internationally renowned WERTLI horizontal continuous casting lines are manufactured, assembled and delivered.
Thomas P. Wertli hands over the management of the company. Thomas Wertli remains Chairman of the Board of Directors of ALFRED WERTLI AG.
Since January 1, 2015 Christian Wertli takes of the managements and leads the company as CEO in third generation.
